The Branch organises a number of events throughout the year, in addition to those events organised by TOMCC at National level. We also get invited to events organised by other groups. There are four ways to find out which events the Branch is planning to attend:
List of forthcoming Bristol Branch events:Sunday 18th May 2008 - Fish and Chip run to Weston Super Mare - Leave Fowlers in Bristol at 11:00. Meet in Fowlers' overflow car park near the parts counter. Thursday 5th June 2008 - Branch Night at HQ, starts at 20:00, all welcome. Sunday 8th June 2008 - Run to the Ace Cafe in London, contact Georgina for details. Weekend of 27th-29th June 2008 - 34th Concorde Rally, near Bristol. Disco on Friday, Live Band on Saturday, the return of the Games, Concours, Raffle, and Ride-out. £14 pre-booked, £16 on the gate. Please contact us for booking instructions. Thursday 3rd July 2008 - Branch Night at HQ, starts at 20:00, all welcome. Saturday 19th July 2008 - Run to Calne Bike Day, the meeting time and place are to be decided, please come back later. Sunday 27th July 2008 - we'll be holding a Reunion BBQ for Branch members from the 1970s, 80s and 90s - and anyone else that wants to come. Drop in when you can with family, old photos - and maybe a bike. Venue will be Keynsham Town Football Club, doors are open from 12:00 to 16:00, BBQ served (£3 per head) from 13:00 to 15:00. Please contact us if you would like to come so that we can plan for the food. Thursday 7th August 2008 - Branch Night at HQ, starts at 20:00, all welcome. Saturday 9th August 2008 - Run to Bill Little's Open Day (Near Wootten Bassett, Wiltshire). The meeting time and place are to be decided, please come back later. Saturday 16th August 2008 - We have a stand at the Bristol Bike Show at St Nicholas Market in Bristol, organised by Bristol MAG, see you there! Thursday 4th September 2008 - Branch Night at HQ, starts at 20:00, all welcome.
Notes: These Branch events may be subject to change, or even cancellation, at short notice. Before attending any event, please confirm the details of the event by calling the Branch Events Hot Line, (Sorry, temporarily suspended) - or better still, confirm in person by coming to a Branch meeting ahead of the event. All times are shown according to the 24 hour clock.
List of recent Bristol Branch events:Saturday 12th May 2007 - It was the National Club AGM at Robin Hood Holiday Park, Rhyl, North Wales. Sunday 20th May 2007 - Run to Bristol Zoo via a scenic route. Thursday 7th June 2007 - Branch Night at HQ. Weekend of 22nd-24th June 2007 - was our own Concorde Rally, Keynsham, Bristol. Thursday 5th July 2007 - Branch Night at HQ. Thursday 2nd August 2007 - Branch Night at HQ. Saturday 18th August 2007 - We went to the Triumph Big Day Out, departing from Rocklands Restaurant lay-by on the A38 northbound at Almondsbury. Thursday 6th September 2007 - Branch Night at HQ. Sunday 23rd September 2007 - we had a ride out from Rocklands Restaurant to the Travelers Rest at Pensford for a pub lunch. Thursday 4th October 2007 - Branch Night at HQ. This was an excellent evening with two officers from the Avon and Somerset Constabulary Roads Policing Unit. We talked about road safety and a million and one other things about using the roads today. Thanks guys for your time and enthusiasm. Thursday 1st November 2007 - Branch Night at HQ. Tuesday 6th November 2007 - Run to see the new TOMCC Somerset and Dorset Branch bods at their meeting in Yeovil. Met at the Travellers' Rest pub car park on the A37 near Pensford, south of Bristol. Thursday 6th December 2007 - Branch Night at HQ. Saturday 15th December 2007 - Christmas Party, featured DJ Bernie, buffet, raffle, and bar, fun through until midnight. Massive turnout, a great do, thanks. Thursday 3rd January 2008 - Branch Night at HQ. Just 5 of us there to beat the New Year blues. Sunday 13th January 2008 - We went on the Bristol and Avon Roadrunners Pet Food Run. Met at Ashton Court Mansion House, Bower Ashton entrance, off Clanage Road, at 10:30. Returned from Bath Dogs and Cats Home to the Colosseum Pub, Redcliffe Hill, Bristol for a Pig Roast and Beer. Thursday 7th February 2008 - Branch Night at HQ - We had a great turn out. Sunday 10th February 2008 - Went to the Bristol Classic Bike Show at Shepton Mallet. Met at the Travellers' Rest pub car park on the A37 near Pensford, south of Bristol at 09:30. Saturday 1st March 2008 - VMCC Auto jumble at Shepton Mallett - Met at the Travellers' Rest pub car park on the A37 near Pensford, south of Bristol at 10:00. Thursday 6th March 2008 - Branch Night at HQ Sunday 16th March 2008 - Went out for Sunday lunch. Met at the Rocklands Restaurant lay-by on the A38 northbound at Almondsbury at 10:30. Thursday 3rd April 2008 - was our Branch AGM at HQ. Thursday 1st May 2008 - Branch Night at HQ, good turnout, mostly Concorde Rally matters.
