For as long as we can remember the Branch has organised a weekend camping rally - our Concorde Rally. Usually held in either September or October, we briefly moved it to June in search of more sun. Usually we only advertise the event in "Triumph circles", but riders of all makes of bike are welcome at the Concorde. 2011 * 2010 * 2009 * 2008 * 2007 * 2006 * 2005 * 2004 * 2003 * 2002 * 2001 * 2000 * 1999

If you would like to contribute some pictures, please send them to us. The 2008 Concorde Rally was to have been the 34th Concorde Rally, but alas we had to cancel it, as we had worryingly few bookings (as of our Committee meeting on 5th June 2008). Our apologies to everyone who had already booked; Instead we went ahead with a musical soiree from our new band "Uncensored" on the same Saturday night, 28th June 2008. The 2007 Concorde Rally was held between 22nd and 24th June, at our new site near Keynsham, Bristol. Did it rain? Yes. Did we mind? No, there's loads of cover, and freshly cooked food on site. The run out was to Cheddar, returning via the Chew Valley lakes. Rough Justice provided the toons again on Saturday night. The 2006 Concorde Rally The dates of the Concorde Rally in 2006 were 29th September to 1st October. Sold out again. Sadly, this was the last Concorde Rally held at Weston Gateway Caravan Park. The 2005 Concorde Rally was held over the weekend of 23rd to 25th September, and was again fully booked up. The awards were as follows - This year the Concours winners were decided by the rallyists' voting:
Many thanks to all who helped to make the rally happen: Macky and the team on site; Davan Caravans for the loan of the Control Caravan; Fowlers of Bristol, Matt's of Bristol and many others for raffle prizes; Munchies for the on-site catering; the bands Twisted and Rough Justice; and not least our own Branch members who got stuck in. Our badges were again made by Pinpoint, and the T-shirts by MaxTrax of Bristol. We raised well over £300 for Macmillan Cancer Relief through our raffle and the auction of the jacket that was donated by Fowlers.
The 2004 Concorde Rally (the 30th Concorde) was held 24-26th September, and was the first ever when we have been fully booked and had to turn people away. Thanks again to everyone who helped to make it happen: Macky and the team on site; Davan Caravans for the loan of the Control Caravan; Fowlers of Bristol, Matt's of Bristol, Traveldri-Plus and many others for raffle prizes; Munchies for the on-site catering; Digger's Custom Motorcycle Seats for the donation to our charity fund; and to band Rough Justice appearing for the second year. Our badges were made by Pinpoint. Our birthday cake was made by Nick Shark's sister. The low point had to be the cancellation of our run to see Concorde at Filton on Saturday due to the accident there on the Friday - our condolences go to the family of the gentleman who lost his life. On a brighter note, the awards were won by:
2003's Concorde Rally was held from 19th to 21st September, and yes, the sun shone on us again. We hope that everyone got home safely, especially Erik from Triumph MC Owners Club Denmark, the winner of our Long Distance Male award. Thanks again to Macky and the caravan site team for being our hosts; Davan Caravans for the loan of the Control Caravan; Matt's of Bristol for raffle prizes - all proceeds went to the new Children's Hospice planned for the Wraxall Estate south of Bristol; Munchies for the on-site catering; and to our band Rough Justice for the excellent music on Saturday. In 2002, the Concorde Rally took place on the weekend of 4th, 5th and 6th October. Sunshine. All weekend. And fully booked up too. Great. Many thanks to everyone that attended; Thanks also to Macky and the caravan site team for being our hosts; Davan Caravans for the loan of the Control Caravan; Charlies of Bristol, Derek Hall and many others for raffle prizes - all proceeds have gone to the Isle of Man Air Ambulance; Munchies for the on-site catering; Lungfish for the music; and to Traveldri-Plus for showing us their Hi-tec comforts for motorcycle touring. The mystery of who won the Best Custom Bike trophy in 2002 is now solved - it was Bill Dunn of West Middlesex TOMCC with his T140. The Concorde Rally in 2001 was on 5th, 6th and 7th October. This had to be the biggest and best Concorde yet - thanks to everyone who turned out. The Concorde Rally in 2000 was held from 6th - 8th October inclusive. Yes, it rained, but not much by Concorde Rally standards. We all had a great time running it, and hope (if you were there) that you enjoyed it too. The dates of the 1999 Concorde Rally, which was the 25th Anniversary Concorde Rally, were 17th - 19th September. Why "Concorde Rally"? - Well, when the rally first started, a large number of the Bristol Branch members were working on the Concorde project, either at the British Aircraft Corporation plant (now Airbus) at Filton or at Rolls Royce at Patchway, both companies on / near the Filton airfield on the northern fringe of Bristol. The Concorde project was very special to them, and the name has stuck ever since. Who'da thought we'd still be going after Concorde was grounded?!
